Watch Slipknot's Bizarre 20-Minute 'Pollution' Movie

The video for the song ‘Nero Forte’ is embedded in the montage of trippy imagery.

If you have 20 minutes to spare, then Slipknot has something for your brain. The masked metal marauders released a trippy short film on Tuesday (Jan. 14) that features a huge gang of percussionist playing glowing neon drums, disturbing close-ups of bugs struggling on their backs and making love, spider fights, people slowly struggling inside gooey egg sacs and other assorted nightmare fuel.

In the middle of it all is the creepy video for their thundering We Are Not Your Kind single "Nero Forte," which seems downright tame amidst all the other madness. As a bonus, the last half of the clip is made up of shaky footage of the aforementioned humans emerging, pupa-like, from their chrysalises.

In an Instagram post about the video, drummer/director Shawn "Clown" Crahan explained, "I set out to make a short film that makes you question your own existence, here in this reality. When you lay down in your bed, next to the one you love, do you ever ask yourself — is it possible that this person could slit my throat while I’m sleeping? Enjoy. Pollution is everywhere."

The band kicked off a run of 36 shows at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday, with stops slated in major cities across Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia before wrapping up on March 29 in Manila, Philippines. Later this summer, Slipknot will head to back to Spain and the U.K. for the inaugural Knotfest at Sea and Knotfest U.K., respectively, as well as one more stop in Wacken, Germany for Wacken Open Air.
