Vial – “Roadkill”
Vial shared “Roadkill,” a gritty punk track that’s up your alley if you like Destroy Boys or Pinkshift. The music video is worth checking out, for it’s filled with whimsical animations of people roller skating, bowling, and more.

Porridge Radio – “Happy in a Crowd”
“Happy in a Crowd,” the latest of Porridge Radio’s (presumably) one-off singles, finds the band is glitchier territory than ever before, Dana Margolin’s voice floating softly above a jittery beat. It’s a prettier, more languid take on pop, and it’s a great sound for the band.

NNAMDÏ – “Lonely Weekend”
NNAMDÏ dropped a new single that I didn’t know I needed: a freak-folk version of a Kacey Musgraves song. The cover is part of Secretly Canadian’s single series, celebrating 25 years of the label. All proceeds go to New Hope Shelter, as if you needed another reason to check out a new NNAMDÏ track.

Lucy Dacus – “Brando”
“Brando,” the fourth single from Lucy Dacus’ upcoming Home Video, is the best yet. Like the best songs off Historian, it unravels slowly over its three minutes into a warm and layered finale. It’s one of Dacus’ more restrained vocal performances lately, allowing the band behind her to really take center stage.

Deafheaven – “Great Mass of Color”
Infinite Granite is shaping up to be Deafheaven’s Keep You, that is, the album where the lean into the gazier aspects of the band’s signature blackgaze and drop the heaviness almost entirely. While it’s a big change, it’s not a surprising one—Ordinary Corrupt Human Love was as much lush post-punk as it was metal—nor is it unwelcome. George Clarke is a surprisingly talented clean vocalist, and Kerry McCoy’s guitar work has always had a jangly indie streak, making “Great Mass of Color” a wonderful taste of the band’s new sound.
