After a day of severe weather and uncertainty, the storm clouds finally gave way—leaving behind only a steady rain as Soccer Mommy took the stage at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Saturday night. The timing felt poetic: after a day of turbulence, the final night of their North American tour, which kicked off in January, was still on. And both bands delivered.
The show opened with Hana Vu, doused in moody lighting that reflected their sound. While some in the crowd were still filtering in, those paying attention were entranced by their atmospheric sound, a perfect contrast before Soccer Mommy’s more dynamic, guitar-driven performance.
Soccer Mommy rewarded the packed house with a career-spanning setlist, pulling from every album, including the latest, Evergreen. From the raw, lo-fi charm of early tracks to the dreamlike, experimental layers of her newer material, the set showcased just how much Allison has evolved, without ever losing her emotional core.
There’s something special about seeing a hometown artist play to a packed room of devoted fans, and Soccer Mommy’s Brooklyn Bowl performance was proof of her staying power. Rain or shine, her music continues to resonate, offering solace, nostalgia, and the kind of cathartic release that only live music can bring.
