Riley Green on the Prospect of Fatherhood: 'I Think About It a Lot'

Riley Green currently finds himself at a career high, yet the country hitmaker is already contemplating a future that involves a slower pace and a growing family. In a recent conversation, Green revealed that fatherhood is a milestone he envisions for himself, though perhaps not in the immediate future.

Preparing for the Future

“I think about it a lot,” Green shared, noting that his roles as an uncle and a dog owner have served as a preliminary training ground for the responsibilities of parenthood. Despite his enthusiasm for the prospect, the singer admits that his current professional momentum makes settling down a complex proposition.

Green’s schedule has intensified significantly as he expands his portfolio into acting and hosting. Most notably, he is set to join the coaching panel for the upcoming season of The Voice. This influx of high-profile projects has left little room for the “sense of normalcy” he believes is necessary to raise a family.

“At this point in my life, I don’t know how I could do it,” he admitted. “So things are going to have to slow down and get a little bit more of a sense of normalcy before I could really think about settling down and having a family.”

Navigating the Spotlight and Songwriting

Beyond the personal fulfillment of becoming a father, Green is intrigued by the creative evolution that parenthood might spark. “It’s definitely something I’d like to do, and I’m somewhat excited about where my songwriting would go with that much of a change in my life, too,” he noted.

While his professional life is an open book, Green has maintained a level of privacy regarding his romantic endeavors. Addressing rumors in late 2025, he clarified that he was not dating anyone at the time, despite frequent public speculation linking him to duet partner Ella Langley or fellow artist Megan Moroney.

“I’m rumored to have dated a lot of people,” he explained. “I kind of understand that. People always long for that Tim and Faith, Johnny and June, George and Tammy thing. I find out who I’m dating weekly on social media.”

Maintaining Career Momentum

For the time being, Green remains focused on his relationship with his career. He is acutely aware of the fleeting nature of fame and the constant effort required to remain a fixture in the country music landscape.

“I know that it will end at some point,” he pointed out. “I mean, it’s such a battle to stay relevant in this world. I’ve got more opportunity now than I’ve ever had. There will come a time when that’s not the case. So it’s just keep your foot on the gas as long as you can.”

While Green remains somewhat of a mystery to many fans, his journey from the “Don’t Mind If I Do” hitmaker to a multi-faceted entertainer reveals a heart deeply rooted in his craft and his future aspirations.
