Connecticut alternative rock band Splitview recently made their debut on Static Era Records (Clearbody, Cinema Stare) with their post-grunge single “Cherish” at the end of May and it distinctly recalls the brand of alternative rock that saw bands like Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin dominate the airwaves in the 2000s.
Following the new wave of alternative rock bands such as Soul Blind, Siilk, or Bleed, their new single “Into Nothing” couples the heavy but melodic low-tuned guitar stylings of an earlier millennium with penetrating vocals and dual harmonies that elevate the song with a crystalline immediacy.
The band shares, “‘Into Nothing’ goes over craving to see the good in someone, only for that to be overshadowed by the bad in them, and having that take precedence over your relationship with them. You start by seeing a beautiful picture of peace and harmony, only for that to be ruined by the reality of the situation. You want a chance to restart at the end, but know that the storm has already done its damage.”

Splitview is Erik Brzoska – Guitar and Vocals, Chris Kovacs – Lead Guitar, Jimmy Davenport – Bass, and Max Laabs – Drums
