A woman is convinced she is about to marry country music star Riley Green, but the circumstances surrounding their alleged relationship are raising significant red flags. During a recent appearance on the Big D and Bubba radio show, the unnamed caller detailed what she believes to be a genuine romance with the singer, though the narrative bears all the hallmarks of a classic online catfishing scam.
The caller explained that she first connected with the person she believes to be the “Don’t Mind If I Do” singer on Facebook. According to her, the relationship progressed rapidly, with the two engaging in a private chat that involves constant communication—often 20 to 30 times a day. Despite the lack of in-person meetings, she remains steadfast in her belief that she is in love and currently planning a wedding, leaving the logistical details entirely up to the individual she knows as Riley.
When the radio hosts questioned the authenticity of the situation and suggested she might be the target of a scam, the woman pushed back, insisting on her own honesty and truthfulness. She claimed that she had moved beyond simple text messages to phone calls to verify the identity of her partner. However, when the hosts played a recording of Riley Green’s actual voice, she remained undeterred, maintaining that the person she has been speaking with is the real deal.
The woman also noted that the individual has not yet asked her for money, which she views as proof of his sincerity. While scammers often build trust over time before requesting financial assistance, she remains confident in her position. As the conversation concluded, she dismissed the hosts’ skepticism, telling them, “You go ahead and laugh. And when it happens, I’m gonna call y’all back… I told you so.”
