One bright side though, is that a lot of producers who are under lockdown (just like all of us) are taking their newfound time at home and blessing us with some new music. One of the first singles to come out of this self-quarantine period is the latest from Nu Jazz rising talent GRAEY, “Years”. It’s also the perfect song to get your groove on to during your home quarantine party.
GRAEY is a San Francisco based producer who aims to fuse elements of Bossa Nova, Tropical House, and Chillwave together. The three genres are wildly different on their own, but a norm-defying fusion of them creates a fresh, atmospheric feeling that draws listeners in and keeps the serotonin flowing.
“Years” mixes past and present, by integrating elements of Bossa Nova Jazz and Tropical House. The track paints a story of two people magnetized together through forces beyond explanation, events that happen somehow accidentally, but somehow meant to be. It has dreamy, yet uplifting vibes making one feel relaxed while dancing in their minds.
