In a significant moment for the British music landscape, Mis-Teeq have officially announced their reunion for a landmark one-off performance in London. The trio—comprising Alesha Dixon, Sabrina Washington, and Su-Elise—will take to the stage at the OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday, September 12, 2026, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut album, Lickin’ on Both Sides.
The announcement marks the first time the group has performed together in over two decades, offering fans a rare opportunity to revisit the era-defining sound that produced hits such as “Why?”, “All I Want”, “One Night Stand”, and “B With Me”. The album remains a cornerstone of the early 2000s, blending UK Garage, R&B, and hip-hop into a commercially successful and culturally influential package.
Reflecting on the timing of the reunion, Alesha Dixon expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming show. “Nothing happens before it’s time, and I can’t think of a better time than now to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Lickin’ on Both Sides,” she stated. “We can’t wait to relive the magic and energy of that record and many more, with the very people who made it so special. I’m also excited for my daughters, ‘the Mis-Teeq babies,’ to see us coming back strong!”
Su-Elise highlighted the group’s role in the mainstreaming of underground sounds, noting the surreal nature of their enduring legacy. “It honestly feels surreal that 25 years later people still connect so deeply with the music we made together,” she said. “Looking back, I’m so proud that Mis-Teeq played a part in bringing UK Garage to the masses, and I don’t think any of us could have imagined the lasting impact our songs would continue to have. Wembley feels like the perfect place to celebrate that journey.”
Sabrina Washington echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the organic nature of their success. “We created these records simply for our love of music and the different sounds that inspired us—from Garage, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Reggae—never knowing how impactful they would become,” she explained. “I feel incredibly grateful and humbled that they still mean so much to so many people today, and the love from the fans across generations is something I’ll never take for granted.”
The road to this reunion has been a topic of intense speculation for years. Speaking in 2024, Dixon had previously hinted that a return would only occur when the interpersonal dynamics and timing felt right. She noted at the time that while the group maintained a foundation of love and respect, there was “work to be done” before a full-scale return could be considered. It appears that moment has finally arrived.
