Billboard Latin Music Awards & LatinFest+ Postponed Due to Coronavirus

Billboard & Telemundo's Latinfest+ will also be delayed amid growing health concerns, with new dates yet to be announced.

Billboard and Telemundo have announced that the 2020 Latinfest+ and the Billboard Latin Music Awards will be postponed for later this year, due to growing concerns over coronavirus. New dates for both events — which were originally scheduled for April 20-23 in Las Vegas — will be announced soon.

“Following the Nevada Governor’s recommendations to limit the size of public gatherings for the prevention and containment of COVID-19, Telemundo and Billboard announced they will postpone the upcoming Billboard Latin Music Awards, previously scheduled to air live on Telemundo on April 23 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas,” a statement from Billboard and Telemundo reads. “The LatinFest+ conference, which was scheduled for April 20-23 at The Venetian, will also be postponed. The health and safety of our guests, artists, participants and staff continue to be our highest priority, and we look forward to rescheduling the awards show and conference in the near future.

“We will provide updates via email, social media channels and our official event websites: http://latinfestplus.com and http://Telemundo.com/premiosbillboard.com.”

Billboard has held its Latinfest+ — previously known as the Billboard Latin Music Conference — for three decades, with this year’s event marking the 30th anniversary. Stay tuned to Billboard for information about new dates for both events.
