German producer horsegiirL has reached a significant milestone in her career with the release of her debut album, Nature is Healing. Known for her unique persona as a half-horse, half-human artist, the producer’s latest project arrives ahead of what promises to be a prolific summer season.
Accompanying the album launch is the premiere of the music video for “That’s My Beach,” a visual that leans into the artist’s signature surrealism. The clip features horsegiirL on a coastal retreat where she encounters a mythical half-woman, half-seahorse creature. To celebrate the release, we are sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes photographs from the production.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the video, horsegiirL described a narrative rooted in a personal experience in Brazil. “A hot day at the beach… nothing much to do, reading the latest water sports magazine, sipping on caipirinhas and getting a tan,” she explained. “But what if the girl of your dreams suddenly decides to pull up? And she is the coolest pro surfer seahorse on this side of the planet? This is what this video is about—a real story that happened to me a while ago in Brazil.”
The project saw horsegiirL collaborating with Enantios Dromos and Rosario Bohio, creators whose work she has long admired. The production took place in Brazil, a location the artist cites as her favorite in the world. Despite the inherent complexities of music video production, horsegiirL noted that the synergy with the creative team made for a seamless experience.
“It is always such a nerve-wracking process to create a music video because there are so many people involved in the creative that it can feel quite chaotic and the outcome sometimes is not guaranteed to be what I love,” she admitted. “But with this team, I just felt so understood and supported and it was smooth sailing for most of the time, and I would absolutely love to come back to Brazil and actually shoot at a real beach next time.”
