Lola Young Returns With Reflective Single ‘From Down Here’

Lola Young has officially returned with a poignant new single, ‘From Down Here.’ The soulful track, which sees the musician reflecting on her past, was co-written and co-produced by James Blake.

“I miss the high from down here/ I used to fly around here,” Young sings on the track. “Not quite alive, I’m somewhere in between/ I miss the high from down here.”

This release follows Young’s third studio album, I’m Only F**king Myself, which was released in September of last year. Shortly after the album’s debut, Young experienced a health scare when she collapsed on stage at the All Things Go festival. The incident led to the cancellation of her North American tour and a period of hiatus before she successfully returned to the stage in early 2026.

Looking ahead, the singer is set to return to the All Things Go festival this year to address what she calls “unfinished business.” In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, Young opened up about her recovery process, noting that she has combined addiction treatment with therapy and a significant shift in her approach to her professional life. She described the collapse as a necessary “breaking point” that ultimately allowed her to prioritize her well-being and become a better artist for her fans and herself.
