Though YNW Melly remains incarcerated on double murder charges, his musical output hasn’t wavered. On Tuesday (March 24), the embattled star released the video for his “Suicidal (Remix),” featuring the late Juice WRLD.
The somber visual finds different characters spiraling emotionally. From a girl standing on the ledge of a building to a depressed man drinking his pain away in an empty house, Melly and Juice WRLD provide a clear understanding of how suicide affects people of different backgrounds.
“I thought that we were meant to be/ You took my heart and made it bleed/ I gave you all my ecstasy/ I know you’ll be the death of me,” Melly sings in the opening verse.
Though Melly and Juice aren’t in the video, fans get to hear a phone conversation between both stars at the tail-end of the clip highlighted by a “RIP Juice WRLD” message.
“Suicidal” lives on Melly’s 2019 Melly vs. Melvin album, which spawned the Billboard Hot 100-charting single “.223.” The song peaked at No. 34.
