Video Premiere: Be Safe – “In a House”

Posted: by The Alt Editing Staff

Released at the start of 2024, Be Safe’s debut LP Unwell seemed to fly under the radar last year. That’s a real shame; it was one of the best emo or emo-adjacent albums of the year, with shades of everyone from ’90s hidden gems like Benton Falls and Karate to fellow Count Your Lucky Stars signees football, etc. and I Am the Branch. Hopefully, though, that’ll change soon.

Be Safe just reissued Unwell on vinyl, and that reissue includes a new song. “To Suffer” finds the band getting even darker and knottier than any of the nine tracks of the LP’s original run. In addition, they tapped Maria Hite to help them put together a video for their single “In a House,” which we’re excited to share exclusively below.

Vocalist/guitarist Matt Wojcik shares that shooting the “video was such a great time. We had a handful of close friends sweating and singing their hearts out in a basement, and it was the first show at this space in almost ten years.” It really captures Be Safe’s live energy.

Check out the “In a House” video below.

Unwell is out now via Count Your Lucky Stars, strictly no capital letters, Best Brother, Time as a Color, Slow Down, Fonoradar, and Rufen. Catch Be Safe on tour with Arms Like Roses:
