Ezra Cohen’s The Sweet Million, out April 1st, is a rootsy, sentimental collection of classic rock and roll bolstered by Cohen’s twangy vocals and unique songwriting. With harder rocking tunes cut with some quieter moments, and quite a few earworm choruses, it’s perfect dive bar music.
We’re psyched to premiere the new single from the album, “Sixteen,” a song Cohen describes as “all about nostalgia,” saying, “I try to live in the present always, but during the last two years sometimes I’ve needed to look back on simpler times to keep me happy. Wrote this during 2020 while I was on a big Tom Petty kick. I was specifically trying to harness the energy of a song like ‘The Waiting’ by Petty. Hopefully I came even a little bit close to that with this one.”
You can check out the track below and preorder a vinyl from Relief Map Records and Dead Broke Rekerds.
