Song Premiere: Palm Ghosts – “We Measure Days by What We’ve Lost” & “Losing My Religion”

Posted: by The Alt Editing Staff

Since this spring, Nashville’s Palm Ghosts have been rolling out Façades in installments; the first two, Escape and Masks, are out now. The third, Façades 3 – Channeling, comes out September 27th on Sweet Cheetah Records/Poptek Records. Today we’re excited to bring you two new singles from the post-punk band—one comes from their upcoming EP and a non-album cover of REM’s “Losing My Religion.”

Of “We Measure Days by What We’ve Lost,” Palm Ghosts say, “Times focus turns from possible futures to past regrets as loss begins to permeate life. Impossible wishes to go back start to blur the way forward and leave them mourning the present as it passes.” For their “Losing My Religion” cover, all proceeds will be donated to Project Animal Aid.

Listen to both tracks below.

Both songs are out tomorrow.
