Back in June, Kid Cudi announced that he would be joining the revived Bill & Ted franchise he's long been a fan of. Now, we have our first images of Cudder playing himself in the summer 2020 film starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in their reprised roles as William and Theodore.
The still teases the arrival of series newcomers Kid Cudi with Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine, who are in a frozen state of shock. Another iconic image shows Reeves and Winter occupying their magical time-traveling phonebooth. Bill & Ted Face The Music is set to hit theaters Aug. 21 of 2020.
The blockbuster's director Dean Parisot provided some context to Cudi's role in the film. “He gets mysteriously thrown around through various times because all time and space is coming unglued," he told Entertainment Weekly.
The Ohio native has a lot on his plate in the entertainment realm for 2020. In addition to his role in Bill & Ted, Cudi will star in HBO's Westworld, We Are Who We Are, Dreamland, and is releasing his Entergalactic album to soundtrack an animated Netflix series he's involved with.
