Audrey Nuna (formerly Audrey) has unveiled the music video for her latest single “Long Night,” premiering on Billboard on Friday (March 20).
In the moody clip, the rising rapper and R&B singer delivers her lyrics through the greenish lens of night vision, dropping references to Justin Timberlake and an iconic New York City department store as city skyline shines in the distance.
“You should really be my valentine, valentine, valentine/ Yeah, I don’t wanna stay but I can’t lie, I can’t lie, I can’t lie/ It’s amazing, we used to shop at Macy’s/ Hit the pavement, now all you want erase me/ You so JT, you only want the mainstream/ It’s so crazy the money never saved me,” she sings over booming, blown-out bass and a sinister, twinkling synth line.
“It’s about remembering simpler times with someone who’s just a stranger to you now,” Nuna tells Billboard.
“Long Night” follows a steady stream of singles throughout 2019 for the breakout Korean-American artist, including “Paper,” “Time” and the Jack Harlow-assisted “Comic Sans.”
Nuna’s as-yet-untitled debut EP is set to arrive this May via Arista Records.
