Premiere: R.J.F. – “The Solitude of Victory”

Posted: by The Alt Editing Staff

Ross J. Farrar likes to get loud, as his work as vocalist of Ceremony and SPICE can attest. With his solo tunes, though, he takes things easier. His forthcoming album as R.J.F., Cleaning Out the Empty Administration Building, is some of his gentlest and most patient music yet. Lead single “Exile” is a case in point, Farrar sinking into a tender groove and riding it out for four minutes.

On the album’s newest single, which we’re excited to premiere below, Farrar’s on the winning side but isn’t willing to gloat. “The Solitude of Victory” is a hushed, bass-led meditation on self-acceptance: “I’m leaving you for me,” he intones over a soft chime. Check out “The Solitude of Victory” below.

Cleaning Out the Empty Administration Building comes out August 15th via Dais.
