Photography + Review: The Band CAMINO, Flor, and Hastings

The Band CAMINO made their way across the U.S. in support of their long awaited, self-titled debut album. Joining them on this run were label-mates Flor and Hastings making for a solid night of alternative rock. Even though this was the second to last date of this run, each band gave it their all for the sold out crowd at House of Blues in Boston.

Hastings kicked off the night and left a lasting impression. They drew the packed crowd’s attention and had them singing along – we’re fans for life after seeing them for the first time.

Next up was Flor, who we’ve been following since their stop at the Middle East venue in Boston back in 2018. With two full lengths under their belt and their third due out next Friday, Flor packed a punch into their ten song setlist. Flor’s airy sound flowed through the crowd and had everyone dancing along.

After a quick change over, The Band CAMINO gloriously walked onstage to Denzel Curry’s “Ultimate” while the 2,000-plus people in the crowd cheered them on. Kicking the set off with two new tracks and our personal favorite “Less Than I Do”, the sold out crowd was cheering for more. “2/14” was up next, and each year the band finds a way to make this catchy track groove harder. With Stewart switching guitar leads for modulated synth on this live rendition, the band had the crowd in a trance. Even after canceling one tour date for vocal rest, Jeffrey Jordan was in rare form the whole night as he and Spencer bounced off of each other all night. With the night drawing to a close, they played a string of four songs from their acclaimed EP tryhard, with the rock power anthem “Daphne Blue” closing out the night. We love when a band skips the encore and packs in more songs into the night and we’re grateful to see The Band CAMINO follow suit. It’s been amazing to watch them grow over the last five years and while this tour for them has officially ended, we had our photographer Kyle at the Boston date to let us relive the night. Check them out while you stream the debut album below!
