Mamamoo's Hwa Sa and Dua Lipa Team Up For K-Pop Remix of 'Physical': Listen

The pop divas previously teamed up for the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2019.

Update: “Physical (feat. Hwa Sa)” is out now — listen below.

Dua Lipa is once again tapping into the K-pop scene, this time teaming up with an equally bold diva in Hwa Sa from girl group MAMAMOO.

MAMAMOO’s official social media accounts made the announcement on Monday (March 16) revealing that Hwa Sa and Dua Lipa had teamed up for a new remix of “Physical.”

The reworked version will drop on Tuesday, March 17, at 11:00PM EST, and will include new Korean lyrics as well as both women singing the original English lyrics.

“Physical,” the second single from the British star’s upcoming Future Nostalgia album, was released in January and has peaked at No. 60 on the Billboard Hot 100 so far. The new K-pop remix is the song’s latest unconventional-yet-exciting push, after Lipa dropped an ’80s-style workout video.

This isn’t the first time the pop divas have teamed up. Late last year at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards, Hwa Sa covered “New Rules” before Dua took to the stage to perform “Don’t Start Now.” Hwa Sa later presented Dua with the international favorite artist award, and the two artists shared a hug onstage and a photo backstage.

While the soulful and strong quartet of MAMAMOO has been a force on the Billboard charts for several years — earning No. 1s on both the World Albums and World Digital Song Sales charts — Hwa Sa is still quite new as a solo act. The starlet made her first entry on the charts when her solo single “Twit” peaked at No. 3 on World Digital Song Sales in February of last year and spent six weeks on the tally.

Dua Lipa last showed her love for the K-pop scene when she and BLACKPINK teamed up for the song “Kiss & Make Up” off the deluxe, “complete” edition of her self-titled debut album in 2018. The track hit No. 94 on the Hot 100.
