Pentatonix’s Mitch Grassi, Allie X, Todrick Hall & a slew of “Drag Race” alumni all celebrated the beauty YouTuber’s honest message.
One of the hardest parts of coming out, as any member of the LGBTQ community knows, is the fear of rejection and ostracization. Luckily, it looks like after her recent coming out, YouTube beauty star Nikkie de Jager (better known by her username NikkieTutorials) has a squad of stars supporting her.
On Monday, Jager released a video on her YouTube channel titled "I'm Coming Out," in which she revealed that she is a transgender woman. Since posting the video, dozens of celebrities, both from within and outside the YouTube makeup industry, have sent the guru messages of support across social media.
Two particularly big music stars let Nikkie know that they are in her corner. On Tuesday (Jan. 14), Kesha tweeted out a message to the YouTuber, letting her know that she was with her 100 percent. "You are such a motherf—in strong amazing inspiring gorgeous woman," the "Raising Hell" singer wrote on Twitter. "This video made me cry and also so so happy for you. YOU are seen, accepted, loved and admired. By myself and many many others. Keep glowing, ur a f—in rainbow." Pop superstar Kim Petras also weighed in, welcoming Jager to the community. "i’m so happy n proud for @NikkieTutorials … ur freee fkn beautiful n a fkn legend [sic]. that sh– had me emotional," she wrote.
