Like many other artists in Japan and around the world, J-pop singer LiSA had to postpone her headlining acoustic tour scheduled to kick off this month due to the coronavirus crisis.
To connect with her fans and send some energy their way during these trying times, she live streamed an intimate studio performance on March 13, and has now made the highlights from the stream available on YouTube for a limited time.
The anime songstress had asked for requests of songs that “bring cheer” to her fans on Twitter before the performance. Watch below:
The hour-long live stream was viewed approximately 360,000 times and drew 230,000 unique viewers, and the hashtag #LiSAGenkiuta, meaning “pep song,” led the worldwide trend immediately after the session ended. The highlight video can be viewed free of charge until the end of the month.
The “Gurenge” artist also made a playlist of the top 20 “Genkiuta” requests, which can be streamed on major platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.
