Global Citizen Adds Dubai as Seventh Venue for Massive 'Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream' Event

Dubai has been announced as the seventh host city for the massive Sept. 26 Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream event. The 10-hour, six-continent telecast, which is being billed as one of the largest live broadcast cause events in history will call on governments, philanthropists and the private sector to prode the $350 billion needed annually to achieve the goals to end extreme poverty, tackle climate change and reduce income equality by 2030.

The lineup for the Dubai event has not yet been revealed, but the first wave of performers and supporters for the five Global Goal Live events include: Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Cyndi Lauper, D'banj, Eddie Vedder, EXO, H.E.R., Janelle Monáe, Lizzo, Metallica, Miley Cyrus, Muse, Ozuna, Ozzy Osbourne, Pharrell Williams, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shawn Mendes, Tiwa Savage, Usher and more.

The event in Dubai, which is being produced by The Emirates, joins previously announced events in New York's Central Park, as well as broadcasts from Lagos, Nigeria, Seoul, South Korean and cities in Latin America and Europe. Global Goal Live is in partnership with Teneo.

"Teaching 5 million young individuals how to code is the biggest worldwide project in its field; it’s a signal of support and hope from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to the world’s youth."
