Modern rock icon straight from New Zealand, Steve Edwards is making huge waves with music like no other! He peaks the interests of numerous listeners, having been featured on diverse media including the prestigious Billboard magazine right after dropping his latest album Born, a collection of songs that are deep and full of inner meditations.
One of the most fascinating pieces on the album is “Happysad”, a song capturing the odd yet eerily familiar feeling of being happy and sad at the same time. “You’re not so shy, you’re not so sore,” the artist sings, exposing his listeners to “happysad-ness” and showing us exactly what it feels like.
Born consists of ten songs, with its title track “Born” coming in at number five. The entire album feels like one composition, flowing from beginning to end with a certain sense of maturity and wisdom. Gaining massive traction, the album topped numerous charts within the first weeks of release and brought even more modern rock fans to appreciate Steve Edwards’ music. “It’s a personal Group of songs that I am very proud of. I do not write to a theme -it’s just songs that reflect how I feel at a given time,” the artist said in an interview.
