Outstanding multi-instrumentalist and composer Allan Franzner is on a journey to discover the sociopolitical threads that bind us as a society and the issues that have been rotting it from the inside out. Franzner’s album Who Pays The Price? is not the easiest collection to listen to, but truly great art is always distinct from the mainstream. At times provocative and sarcastic throughout, the album carries much meaning, expressed through experimental melodies and arrangements.
Speaking about his influences in an interview, Allan Franzner mentioned “Roger Waters, Bob Dylan, Kendrick Lamar… in a lyrical way. Musically, in the whole “be your own band in the studio” thing Prince, Stevie Wonder, Tyler, The Creator, Kevin Parker.” We’re really excited to see what’s next for this rising artist so stay tuned!
