Madame Tussauds Berlin unveiled a Nicki Minaj wax figure on Tuesday (Jan. 7), and while the statue was intended to resemble the rapper's seductive look from her famed "Anaconda" music video, the Barbz were not impressed.
Angry fans voiced their frustration on social media, saying the figure's facial structure and skin tone were closer to that of the late Selena or reality star Kourtney Kardashian. "There is no way that is supposed to be Nicki Minaj!?!" Twitter user @Traysijetta wrote. "It’s not even her shade of brown!!! Just like all brown people don’t look alike, all kinda sorta almost random brown people wax figures don’t pass for any ‘fill in the blank’ celebrity of color."
The same wax figure originally debuted in Las Vegas in 2015, with the rapper calling it "so iconic."

Nicki Minaj is so ethereally beautiful that nobody can recreate her, that's why all her wax figures look off.

If I was @NICKIMINAJ I would have them take that wax figure down ASAP. That does look like nicki and ya won’t take our culture from us.
