After rumors were circulating that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were heading towards splitsville, a new report surfaced that the singer has filed for divorce from the actress.
According to Page Six, Jonas filed the paperwork in Miami on Tuesday (Sept. 5), and has hired celebrity attorney Tom Sasser to represent him.
The “Cake By the Ocean” singer stated that their marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
Court docs noted that the duo’s two kids have been primarily living with him, however, he is seeking “shared parental responsibility” after the split.
The couple have a prenuptial agreement in place, according to the outlet.

Prior to filing for divorce, Jonas’ wedding band was on display in a snap shared on the official Jonas Brothers Instagram account on Saturday (Sept. 2).
“Happy Labor Day weekend everyone,” read the caption of the post, which showed Joe hanging out with his brothers and bandmates, Kevin and Nick, around a fire pit.
