Song Premiere: Talking Kind – “Trouble (feat. Radiator Hospital and Goodbye Party)”

Currently, Pat Graham is best known for his work in punk band Spraynard and alt rockers Big Nothing, but there’s another side to him we rarely see. That’s Talking Kind, the softer, more introspective side of Graham that’s come out in his new solo project. His debut single “Damn Shame” was the first taste of the project, a hushed singer-songwriter jaunt that placed more emphasis on Graham’s voice than anything he’d worked on before. Today we’re excited to bring you a new single from Talking Kind, called “Trouble.”

He explains, “I’m a Libra, so I get called out for playing both sides. One week I’ll love a movie, the next I’ll be laying out all of its flaws. ‘I just say shit’ is my response to these arguments. I also just say inappropriate or uncomfortable stuff a lot. While it makes me self-conscious, I ultimately embrace it. There’s a lot of posturing in life – I am happy to be the rude but lovable rascal at the water cooler.” The song is great, a little more upbeat than “Damn Shame,” and features contributions from Radiator Hospital and Goodbye Party. Check it out below.

It Did Bring Me Down drops September 8th on Lauren Records.
