Griselda is looking to build on a strong 2019 campaign. The lyrical trio that calls Buffalo, New York home checked off another box in their ascension, as they made their Fallon debut serving as the musical guest on Thursday night (Jan. 23).
Griselda refuses to sacrifice any of their integrity even as the lights start to shine brighter. The gritty rhymers stayed true to themselves with the "Dr. Bird's" performance, which originally landed on their WWCD album last year.
They brought a piece of upstate New York to the Big Apple with the backdrop showing off visuals from their rugged hometown. Westside Gunn took a smoky center stage in a glossy, puffy winter jacket flanked by his partners Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher, as their ad-libs echoed throughout the venue.
WGRZ spoke to the group prior to hitting the stage, as they look to make quantum leap to mainstream stardom. "I'm very excited, it's dope man. I watch the show every time I get a chance, and I enjoy the show, and it's just dope to be a part of that with my music to get me there and be able to represent Buffalo on that platform," Conway told the NBC affiliate. "We are true to ourselves and we are true to our own sound which is the east side of Buffalo, New York sound."
