Country music sensation Parker McCollum and his wife, Hallie Ray Light, have officially welcomed their second child into the world. The couple took to social media on August 1 to share the joyous news of the birth of their second son, Rocker Tommy Light McCollum, following a brief hiatus from the singer’s touring schedule.
“Rocker Tommy Light McCollum!” the couple shared in a joint announcement. “Born on July 30th / 8 pounds 7 oz! THANK YOU JESUS for another healthy baby boy! we are so in love with our little fam! mom & dad x 2 here we gooooooo!”
The “Burn It Down” singer had previously alerted fans that he would be stepping away from the stage briefly to prioritize his family. On the eve of the birth, McCollum shared an update via Instagram Stories, expressing his excitement about becoming a father for the second time. He noted that he would be heading home immediately following his performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado to be by Hallie’s side for the delivery.
During his Red Rocks set, McCollum was visibly moved, telling the audience, “I’m having my second baby tomorrow. But God is good, and as long as that baby gets here healthy, I’ll never ask him for anything again.” In a touching tribute, he also dedicated his hit song “Hell of a Year” to his wife during the performance.
Tour Schedule Adjustments and Rescheduled Dates
To accommodate the new arrival, McCollum postponed two scheduled tour dates, emphasizing that his family remains his top priority. “Hate having to make that call, but family comes first,” he explained to his followers on social media.
The affected performances include his July 31 stop in Kansas City, Missouri, and his August 1 show in Omaha, Nebraska. Fans in Omaha can now expect the show on September 10, while the Kansas City date has been moved to September 12. All tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored at the rescheduled venues.
The Growing McCollum Family
The arrival of Rocker Tommy Light marks the second son for the couple, who married in March 2022. They are already parents to their firstborn son, Major Yancey, who was born in August 2024. The couple originally announced this second pregnancy on Christmas Day in 2025, revealing at the time that they were expecting another boy.
Hallie Ray Light has long been a muse for McCollum’s songwriting, even serving as the namesake for one of his popular tracks. As the artist settles into life as a father of two, fans and the country music community continue to offer their congratulations to the growing family.
