Harry Styles Celebrates England's World Cup Win at Wembley

Harry Styles was seen celebrating wildly as England defeated DR Congo at the World Cup last night, shortly before his latest Wembley Stadium show.

The singer is currently in the middle of his record-breaking 12-night residency at the home of football, as part of the ongoing ‘Together, Together’ tour.

Footage captured by fans at the show last night (July 1) saw Styles watching the knockout game on the stadium’s big screens, joined by the thousands of fans who arrived at Wembley early for the screening.

In one clip, Styles is seen passionately jumping into the arms of a friend as Harry Kane scored his second goal, sending England into the last 16 after an early goal from Brian Cipenga had turned it into a nervy tie.

Styles previously showed his support for England at an earlier Wembley show, playing a medley of Underworld’s ‘Born Slippy’ mixed with Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds’ ‘Three Lions’.

In a five-star review at the start of the residency last month, Rolling Stone UK wrote: “Throughout the night, Styles proves that he can do it all: perfect pop songs (‘American Girls’, ‘Pop’), euphoric rave bangers (a strobe-heavy ‘Aperture’ as the sky darkens) and even a rock epic (‘Sign of the Times’ is paired with a spectacular firework display). There’s still one last smash to unleash, however. ‘As It Was’ sends everyone home full of joy, as Styles completes one final, well-earned victory lap of the stadium, capping off a faultless return to Wembley.
