A special tribute performance honoring Prince from Usher and Shelia E. will be taking place at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (Jan. 26), the Recording Academy announced on Friday (Jan. 24) as part of the final round of performers set to hit the Staples Center stage this weekend.
Along with the electric salute to the Minnesota-born legend, Gary Clark Jr. will be teaming up with The Roots to perform his Grammy-nominated "The Land" track. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band is slated to unite with Trombone Shorty for a touching In Memoriam piece spotlighting those in music circles that passed away during 2019.
The Prince tribute is just a teaser for the Let's Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince concert scheduled for next Tuesday night (Jan. 28) on CBS. The Grammy Salute performance already has a range of artists onboard such as Beck, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Chris Martin, and Juanes.
Alicia Keys will be playing host for the Grammy Awards. Look for other performances throughout the night from Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Tyler, The Creator, the Jonas Brothers, H.E.R., Rosalía, Bonnie Raitt, Charlie Wilson, Run-DMC, who will duet with Aerosmith, as well as Billie Eilish, Demi Lovato, Lizzo, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
