The song is slated to appear on "Imploding the Mirage."
The Killers are back. The Las Vegas rockers returned with a new song on Thursday (March 12), “Caution,” an urgent heartland rocker slated to appear on their upcoming sixth studio album, Imploding the Mirage, due out later this year. They then dropped the single’s official video on Friday (March 20).
The cinematic video serves as a trailer of sorts; as the band explained in the YouTube video’s description, it is “a sneak peak from the short film we did with director Sing Lee, coming soon on Apple Music!”
Meanwhile, the synth-heavy tune finds singer Brandon Flowers crooning over drummer Ronnie Vannucci’s steady beat: “I’m throwin’ caution, what’s it gonna be?/ Tonight the winds of change are blowing wild and free/ If I don’t get out, out of this town/ I just might be the one who finally burns it down.”
Mirage is the follow-up 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful, which featured the single, “The Man,” which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard‘s Alternative Songs chart.
