San Francisco festival Outside Lands has ficially announced the debut ‘Grass Lands’, which is a cannabis-centric “new area focused on the celebration, education, and integration cannabis products into daily life”.
According to the announcement, Grass Lands (which will join the festival’s preexisting Wine Lands and Beer Lands) will fer educational opportunities to explore the many uses and effects cannabis, and spotlight several companies that operate within the cannabis and technology space. Products will not be available for purchase on the grounds, but there will be options for festival goers to order from delivery services and purchase other products fsite.
Grass Lands will also include a greenhouse with “budtenders” (cannabis specialists) equipped with a lemonade stand, a flower shop, a “smell wall” and a cannabis-themed market.
At the start the year, California welcomed new legislation for legal recreational marijuana. Though other tide-leading festivals like , it seems like Outside Lands has become the first to step into developing an ficial relationship between legal marijuana use and the festival environment.
Outside Lands is set to take place in San Francisco on August 10-12 featuring headliners like The Weeknd, Florence + the Machine and Janet Jackson as well as and more.
