The Cutty Ranks-sampled track arrives at No. 1 on Latin Pop Airplay in its 13th week.
Following its Latin Airplay chart and its Latin Rhythm Airplay chart domination (Dec. 21) Daddy Yankee’s “Que Tire Pa Lante” continues to push for another crown as it moves 2-1 on Latin Pop Airplay chart (dated Jan. 25). It’s Yankee’s eighth No. 1 on the tally.
“Que Tire,” written and produced by Yankee and released Oct. 18 via El Cartel Records, advances with a 32% boost in plays in the week ending Jan. 19, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
The song samples Cutty Ranks’ “A Who Seh Me Dun" and includes uncredited cameos by Natti Natasha, Bad Bunny, Becky G, Anuel AA, Wisin and Zion & Lennox. It’s the 13th single released off his forthcoming seventh studio album El Disco Duro which will include hits from 2015 onwards.
In addition to its Latin Airplay, Latin Rhythm Airplay (where it’s back at No. 1 on the current chart week), and now Latin Pop Airplay coronation, “Que Tire” has led the Latin Digital Song Sales and Latin Rhythm Digital Song Sales for two weeks (Nov. 2, Nov.16, 2019).
On the Hot Latin Songs chart (which blends Latin airplay, digital sales and streaming data), ‘Que Tire” (a previous No. 7 peak high) continues at No. 11 for a second week.
Bad Bunny Climbs: A month after Bad Bunny’s “Vete” arrived at No. 33 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart -the highest debut ever for an all-Spanish-language song by an act with no accompanying artists- the standalone single enters the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart’s top 10 lifting 13-10 in its seventh frame.
The Puerto Rican now has 11 Latin Rhythm Songs top 10s to his name (a feat he now shares with tropical ensemble Aventura), all of which, with the exception of “Vete,” have been through collaborations.
“Vete” (which translates to ‘leave’ or ‘go away’), climbs the list with 4 million in audience impressions (a 33% rise) earned in the week ending Jan. 19. It’s the first single from Bad Bunny’s upcoming project YHLQMDLG.
