Real life is a movie, just ask internet celeb and all around heartthrob Chris Farren. The artist just surprised released a brand new album called ‘Death Don’t Wait (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ and if you put it on during your morning walk…you can’t help but feel like you’ve just inked a deal to be the replacement for Daniel Craig’s James Bond. You can stream the record here. More info is below.

Chris was listening to Marvin Gaye’s Trouble Man soundtrack and thought, “I can’t wait for the time in my career when I’m able to do something like that.” But then he realized he didn’t have to wait, he could just do it! “ And so, Death Don’t Wait(Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)was born.

In just under three months, Chris scored the entire made-up movie––11 mostly instrumental tracks that suit the specific moods of helicopter shoot-outs and villain headquarter explosions, yet somehow still maintaining his own style of indie rock. With contributions from Jeff Rosenstock, Macseal
s Frankie Impastato, and AJJs Mark Glick, Death Dont Wait pulls inspiration from films like Dirty Harry, Kill Bill, Chinatown, Mulholland Drive, James Bond, as well as 60s/70s French and Italian pop, bossa nova, and surf rock.
Of course, for every great Bond film, there’s a larger-than-life ballad as its title track, and there’s one on here, too. In fact, “Death Don’t Wait (Main Title)” is the albums only non-instrumental song, and features an outstanding vocal performance from the greatest of all time, Laura StevensonLike Nancy Sinatra or Shirley Bassey before her, Lauras sultry title track sets a brilliant tone for the film––albeit a fictional one.
