Beatport Announces 24-Hour Live Stream With Rüfüs Du Sol, Carl Cox & More: Exclusive

The global dance party will launch online Friday.

On Friday, Beatport will launch a 24-hour live stream featuring some of the world’s biggest dance acts going live from their homes and studios. Launching at 4 p.m. ET on Beatport’s Twitch channel, 24 artists — including Carl Cox, Bonobo, Nina Kraviz, Griz, Rüfüs Du Sol, A-Trak, Nicole Moudaber, Chris Liebing and Nora En Pure — will fill a day’s worth of online space to entertain all of us currently in quarantine around the globe. (See the complete lineup below.)

“Over the past few weeks, we have seen so much of humanity come together as one to battle the escalation of the COVID-19 virus in an effort to protect the most vulnerable,” Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels said in a statement. “With so many of us sheltered in our homes, wanting to stay connected to the people and music that plays such a positive role in our lives, Beatport and the passionate DJ community we work with on a daily basis feel compelled to deliver a unique music experience directly into homes across the world.”

Those tuning in on Twitch will be able to donate to money to benefit the World Health Fund’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and the COVID-19 Hardship Fund benefitting members of the Association for Electronic Music (AFEM.) Beatport will also ID each track as it’s played so viewers can buy the tunes directly from the Beatport store. Beatport will also give away gear and merch to randomly selected viewers throughout the livestream.
