Photography: Parquet Courts with L’Rain at Brooklyn Steel
Posted: by The Editor
Parquet Courts have firmly established themselves as a staple in the new wave of garage rock in the last 5 or so years. Their new record Sympathy for Life is no exception. Experimenting with their instrumentation and tempo, the record is probably their most removed from their original sound whilist still having guitar-driven hits among the synthesizer based tracks. Playing songs off Sympathy for Life as well as others in their discography, it is clear that fans of Parquet Courts are not going anywhere. With powerhouse L’Rain opening, and special guest The Greyscale Clown, the night was filled with excellent musicianship. Sarah was at night 2 of their Brooklyn shows and took some great pics, check them out.
