“ABBA cover band” Glutenhead follows up the wild and phenomenal ‘Naked In Toronto’ with Folding. Written and developed throughout the gloomy Canadian winter – which subsequently turned into a gloomy spring – it’s about viscious uncertainty that tastes like blood. It rings through your head with unrelenting force and yet, a persistent glimmer of hope remains.
While Folding is less wild-eyed, that same energy still breathes, loud and anxious as Ben Shapiro howls out of the tiny window of the coffin he calls home.
It’s all the more apt for these solo charcuterie dinner days.
