Chris Young spent the majority of last year on the road performing to over 400,000 fans, and the singer will kick things into high gear in 2020 with his Town Ain’t Big Enough Tour.
The “Drowning” singer announced on Tuesday morning (Jan. 14), that he will embark on a summer tour that launches May 28 in Detroit and runs through September.
Scotty McCreery and Payton Smith will join Young as openers throughout the trek, which will hit cities including Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland and Dallas, among others. Additional dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
“Everyone has been asking about this year since the last tour ended, so I’m happy I finally get to tell everybody about these shows,” Young said in a statement. “The Town Ain’t Big Enough’ tour is gonna be the biggest one yet!”
The Town Ain’t Big Enough Tour takes its name for Young’s song of the same name, which is a duet with Lauren Alaina. The song is expected to be on Young’s upcoming eighth studio album, out later this year.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Jan. 24 for select cities as part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket via Megaticket.com.
